Ah, I forgot about the whole elf thing. I guess that wouldn't work. Don't we have a reincarnation scroll someplace?
I thought I was trading the Staff of Tunder & Lightning for the dancing boots?

I thought Grizela was a half-elf, while Rhiannon was human.

Don't we have a reincarnation scroll someplace? We're saving that until you're 12th level so you can cast it regularly. Shortly therafter, the whole party will be badgers and centaurs. I thought I was trading the Staff of Thunder & Lightning for the dancing boots? Add in a discount on training and you've got a deal.

Yes, Grizela's pedigree needs to be checked. I do get confused about such things occasionaly.
That discount sounds almost as bad as the staff for boots trade. I remember how badly in debt I was from the last training I had. I would also have to factor in the loss of the opportunity cost lost from not being able to write scrolls during your taining period.

I think Grizzela is a half-elf and Rhiannon is a full elf. And with the ring of wishes I'll wish that anyone who ever takes on of my possessions without asking will instantly die.

Certain sacrifices must be made...

And with the ring of wishes I'll wish that anyone who ever takes on of my possessions *without asking* will instantly die... We'll just have to remember to ask your unconscious form for permission before we begin stripping you of your possessions.

Or just wait until I'm dead and cast "Speak with Dead." Of course, I'll say no, because you never know what'll happen. Maybe some necromancer will turn me into a skeleton warrior? I'll need the cool stuff then.

Skeleton warriors are 9 HD, so I think Raven qualifies.

Does anyone want that sword of wounding? If no one else wants it, then, you know, I'll take it off your hands. It could come in handy in the future, maybe.

A few changes: 1. Restore Raven to health, because without our leader, we are nothing. 2. Get out from behind stone block. 3. Investigate Minotaur teleport maze and passage with lava flow. (I presume they're connected, since the minotaurs ran for help and alerted the nagas.) 4. Collect all the treasure we've found and bring it all upstairs/put it into the chest. 5. Message the Elves and Cedrus. 6. Make sure the escapees have left the grounds and aren't hiding in the bowels of the castle. 7. Rest, recover and Identify magic items until backup arrives. 8. Head to civilization for supplies and training. Learn about current events we missed out on. 9. Head to another spot on the map where there's stuff to kill. Likely the tower.

The sword would be an interesting combination with the ring of vampiric regeneration. Consider this sequence -you hit someone with the sword twice; -you are knocked unconscious; -next round they take 2 hit points, you regenerate 1 and are conscious again. But since it is not a long/bastard sword I'll likely pass. Is Raven even tall enough to wield a two-handed sword? I thought 6" tall was the minimum.

I think that the additional damage points would count as non-melee damage, and so you wouldn't regenerage the points. I'm not especially interested in the sword since it's only +1. The extra wounding damage is nice, but a +3/+6 sword with fire protection is much better. We'll probably just carry it around to use on trolls.

Is Raven even tall enough to wield a two-handed sword? I thought 6" tall was the minimum. "Characters under 5' height cannot employ the longbow or any weapon over 12' in length. Those under 100 pounds of body weight cannot use the heavy crossbow or pole arms in excess of 200 gold piece weight equivalent, including two-handed swords." So it looks like any of the fighters in the company could use it, barring any ethical issues the sword might have.
