Is there a final list of the stuff we have at the Hall? i am thinking in terms of magical armor and Dell's contribution to Hugh's getting a new bell for the church for the knot potion.

The stuff in the Hall was posted a few weeks ago, along with some questions I had about the coins and the armor. For those too lazy to click over there, we have in the Hall coins from the Jarl's chamber which can now be identified as coming from the Vally of the Mage.

I will spend those, the frost giant and the fire giant ones. Trithereon only cares that it be gold. That gives me 18,000 gp in spending money. I can get Hugh a really big bell for that without conversion costs.

Blue with Red Stripe and Gold Crescent Shield +1 Mold Crusted Metal Flask with Potion of Extra Healing Footman's Mace +4, Defender Brass Ring of Swimming Footman's Flail +2 Scimitar +1 Morning Star +2 Splintmail (large) +2 Broadsword +1 Wand of Dig, Passwall, and Move Earth Stone Horse Figurine Green Potion of Superheroism Xray Ring
I don't really know what to do here. I'll assume that Al wants the potion of superheroism, since it'll give him the most bang for his buck. Jasper could use the ring of x-ray vision, since he's a great scout, and all of his other items were fried. I don't know who wants the Defender. Maybe Adrienne should take it and trade the Pick to someone.

Does Winthrop recognize the heraldry associated with the shield? Did we get this off of the lead priest? Might be more indication of association between giants and the ruling families in Keoland.
Otto will take the scimitar for Herbert unless Diego (who I believe is still proficient in scimitar) wants it.
Do we know if illusionists can use the wand? Is there a list of the Unearthed Arcana wands they can use?
Did we get a full description of the stone horse? Have we tried activating it?

We haven't tried activating the horse, but we got a full description and command word. The write-up in UA isn't entirely clear, but it's a horse that never tires and can fight reasonably well. The only problem is that you cannot heal it. It has to graze for a day to regain each hit point.

Here's the first draft:
Adrienne - Morning Star Perrin - Mace Jasper - X-Ray ring Raven - Swimming ring Diego - Splintmail Al - Superheroism Hugh - Stone Horse Winthrop - Flail Otto - Scimitar Tony - Extra Healing Potion. Pfiffwin - Wand
+1 broadsword and shield still up for grabs.
The wand is usable by any character class, so if Pfiffwin isn't allowed to use it as an illusionist, he can use it as a thief. I like the idea of him digging pits and then covering them with illusions

Winthrop doesn't want anything from this lot stuff. I should point out there are two rings of swimming. The one Hugh is wearing wasn't officially allocated yet.
Hugh is interested in the horse and the +4 Mace. He would forgo the strike of retribution he gets with a broadsword in order to hit things more often and he likes to take care of summon creatures.
Speaking for Grizela in case she returns the Flail would suit her nicely.

I'm certainly interested in the mace. I think it's a great addition to my collection of +4 gear... also I'm already trained with the weapon.

Yay, a mold-crusted metal flask...
How about that ton of monetary treasure?
Being a magic-user is prohibitively expensive.

Have we left the castle yet? I just remembered a few loose ends to tie up. I don't think we ever inventoried the stuff under the evil statue in the temple or took the HUGE MITHRIL SLAB which was worth a fortune.

Yay, a mold-crusted metal flask... Given the amount of times that you asked to be healed, I thought it would be the item you would get the most use out of. And don't worry, your monetary needs will be taken care of. Our leader will see to that.

Ah, yes apprentice you must know that the cost of spells are very expensive. I'm sure that you didn't expect that we, Dell and I, as power hungry mages would just give away our spells. They cost money and as you said being a mage is very expensive. Now that Dell has obtain a more enlightened level of magic ability his costs go up as well. So I'm sure that you can see that your "share" of the "monetary" assets might be shall we say less than what you think you might think right as Dell and mine might be more (okay and Raven's since he chipped in some). So what you should really wish for is that we clear out karmul's tower since there hopefully will be spell books. You would likely jave a good opportunity to get the ones with spells of you current power.

Grizela needs a +1 shield more than Diego, who already has a better magic shield. With a +1 shield and +1 plate, she'd be much more able to survive.

As no one has been particularly forthcoming in regards to the company's policy pertaining to the distribution of treasure, I suppose the question then is: how much less than an equal share do I receive? Whatever that share is, I'm happy to parley it into needed magical accoutrements like spellbooks/magical ink and future training. I cannot, however; accept vague assurances that it'll "be covered" and then made to feel beholden to the party for what meager scraps you decide to give me, whenever you see fit to dole them out. If you feel you already have too many magic-users in the group and there isn't a realistic opportunity for a new one to be prosperous- or if Antonus isn't valued or liked by the Company- he will simply leave. (I'll roll up a fighter or something.)

Grizela needs a +1 shield more than Diego, who already has a better magic shield. With a +1 shield and +1 plate, she'd be much more able to survive. Good catch! I thought there were shields for her back at Longspear, but the list says otherwise. No wonder you're the leader. The third iteration of the splitlist: Adrienne - Superheroism Perrin - Defender Mace +4 Jasper - X-Ray ring Raven - Swimming ring Diego - Splintmail Al - Biting Swim Ring, Morning Star +2 Hugh - Stone Horse Grizela - Flail +2, Shield +1 Otto - Scimitar +1 Tony - Extra Healing Potion Pfiffwin - Wand, Broadsword +1 Reasonings: Adrienne - I just want her to get to roll for more hitpoints. Perrin - I think he needs a good weapon more than Hugh does. Jasper - For better sneaky scouting. Raven - Because he nearly drowned twice in one day. Diego - For the captain of his troops. Or for himself, when his regular armor detonates. Al - He regenerates, so the bite damage is irrelevant. Also, he lost a +2 weapon, so he needs another. Hugh - He asked. Grizela - A fighter needs Magic Armor, Shield, and Weapon. Otto - for his minions. Tony - He doesn't enjoy walking around half dead like most of the party does. Pfiffwin - I like the idea of a pit hidden by an illusion, and I really want to see Pfiffwin backstab someone with a sword taller than he is.

As no one has been particularly forthcoming in regards to the company's policy pertaining to the distribution of treasure, I suppose the question then is: how much less than an equal share do I receive? Actually, under the company by-laws, at your current level of experience you would recieve a full share - as well as 500 or 600 gp per month. However, a not-insignificant amount of money goes into what's known as the "Company Fund" - a pool used to purchase things of benefit to the group as a whole, like horses, boats and training. Since there is a lot of training coming up, the share of funds going into this group account will be larger, and so your individual award may be smaller than expected - but since magical supplies are a group need, the inks, spellbooks, and pearls for identification will also be purchased from this group account. Essentially, while you may only get a few thousand gold, you won't have anything to spend it on except for ale and sleepers. And a Cure Disease the morning after... you know, because of the sleepers.

Basically, we don't take our funds individually and instead live large off the "company funds." I think it's a tax write off, or something complicated, but we were advised to do it by our accountants and lawyers.
Another reason we do this is so that magic users, who are smart and have huge costs, can take money from the fighters, who don't have any expenses. Just say "Hey, I need company funds to buy spellbooks and inks" and you'll get Jasper sent off to carry a ton of gold to buy stuff with you.
We could probably also use some sort of dividend system where everyone got 3000 GP when we got to town to spend or save as they see fit.

We could probably also use some sort of dividend system where everyone got 3000 GP when we got to town to spend or save as they see fit. So all the treasure we found is put into a "company fund" that will provide for my training, spellbooks and magical ink? I just have to ask? And then I will further receive a personal distribution of that treasure to spend on other things, like new spells and basic equipment? ... Can't be expected to live off handouts forever. -- About magic items- what, if any, future considerations are made for those that don't get "choice" items on a particular adventure? In other words, is there a limit to how many times someone will get the +1 weapon or mold-crusted metal flask before they are entitled to something decent? Without useful items (protective bracers, rings, damaging wands, etc.) memorizing party-enhancing spells (strength, run, etc.) isn't feasible. Not when one's Armor Class is entirely dependent on keeping a Shield spell up.

We just count on all the loot to balance out over time. Sometimes people get shafted for a few dungeons in a row. It happens to everyone. Whenever we get a really big score and there are several items per person, we can balance out previous inequities.

Note that Winthrop and Dell didn't take a distribution at all this time. My assumption is that the portion of the treasure that would have been useful to magic users flew away with the naga. As we are generally of Good alignments (at least in theory), the company's item distribution is primarily based on what's best for the group as a whole (at least in theory).

And I only question so thoroughly to set for myself reasonable expectations, I don't mean to come across as, um, avaricious..
