Welcom new CBS members! I am Dell, your leader. But don't think of me as being above you - think of me as a fellow teammate. A fellow teammate that decides what share of the treasure you get.
As leader, I feel that I should give the new people some hints and tips on how to succeed as a member.
1: Try to avoid getting fireballed by Winthrop. This is not as much of a problem as it once was, but it's very very bad when it happens.
2: Don't run off by yourself. In the places we usually go, being by yourself is not safe. Being with us isn't safe either, but in general it's better to be one of many targets than a target all by yourself. Unless you're scouting ahead.
3: Initiative is rewarded. If you're asked to open a possibly trapped chest, or stick your hand somewhere that hands aren't usually stuck - go ahead and do so. If you survive, there'll be a little extra in your check at the end of the month.
4: NO STEALING. This is an important one. If you happen across some treasure, and no one else knows about it, bring it directly to Dell. You will receive a portion of its value as a finders fee, but we've had problems with this in the past. Hiding treasure from your teammates only leads to mistrust. I've talked with Raven, and he says he won't do it anymore. Try to follow his example.
You may be interested in the rules on treasure division. Well, we don't have any. Or rather, we have them but never follow them. Essentially, we split the cash evenly, holding a portion back for company expenses. Magical weapons and other items are more difficult to allocate, so normally I (as leader) will select who gets what, based on their skills and needs. I discuss it with Raven to be sure that I'm not favoring one person over another (as leader, I have to be fair) and then the decision is made. I tried to discuss it with Winthrop once, but he made it known to me that he doesn't really care. If there are specific preferences, make them known to me and I will consider that in my decision.
Any questions?
