Divide the treasure, that is.
About the magical items: The way I understand it is that as company members, we divide up the magic items and get to keep them individually. So we miss out on some cash, but get to posess some powerful magic items that can be used to get more cash. Or sold for cash, if need be.
So if I decide to retire, or if I need to go back to Monmorg to take care of my sickly grandmother, I take this stuff along with me, right? This dagger, and this sword - I own them now, right? And Raven owns his armor, and Winthrop owns whatever the hell it is he has, right?
I'm pretty sure that's how it works. Or how it's supposed to work, anyway.
I only ask because I haven't gotten any magical items in the last three or four adventures. The Chimera? Got nothing. The Temple to Nerul? Got nothing - unless you count the amulets that are so valuable that we threw four of them away. The Werewolf lair? I got nada. Oh wait, that's wrong - I got a scroll of Protection from Lycanthropes. It's essentially useless since I already have a form of protection from Lycanthropes - it's called turning invisible and running the hell away. Anyone want it, or should I try and sell it when we get back? It shouldn't be too hard to get a werewolf panic going in the town again, so we'd get a pretty good price for it...
The last time I actually came out with anything useful was when we fought Gador and his orcs. I got the lion figurine, which is admittedly nifty - but I get the feeling that Winthrop would have claimed it for himself had he not been dead. Oh, I also got Brunnell's longsword, but Raven "convinced" me to trade it for his. Well, at least now I have a matching set.
From the Nerulites, Winthrop got a magical staff and a wand. Raven got plate mail (that he's since destroyed). Technically, the shield hasn't been distributed yet, so it should probably go to Al. Al's been getting shafted on the distribution even worse than me, come to think of it. He did get some magical chain mail from a quest he didn't even go on, but he's been overdue for something better than a potion for a while now - admittedly, he is the newest member.
I guess what I'm saying is, I get first pick on the next good thing we find, since I haven't gotten anything in so long. Sound good? I thought so.
