Obviously, I missed the tail end of the fight, so you'll need to fill me in on the details, but...
I thought we kicked ass. Obviously that's much easier to do when we've got three super-tough allies, but even so, things couldn't have gone much better, and they could have been much worse. I think Dell deserves an Employee of the Week award, for a well placed Web and some good back-stabbing action.
Nobody got badly surrounded or isolated. The paladin was well placed to use his 10' aura against evil, and everyone who couldn't attack the creatures stepped up to defend those who could.

Yeah, it was a good fight - we took care of things pretty well. Tactically, I think we're getting a handle on everything. I don't think any bad decisions were made, in general. Spell use was appropriate and really helped the party...
If it weren't for the need for magic weapons to hit them, they'd have been no threat at all - we have 3 double-specialized melee fighters that were unable to use their weapons of choice because of that.
And is there a cash bonus with that employee of the week award???

So nothing interesting happened after I died? Did you stop right after the fight, or did you do any searching?

No searching was done after you left. The remaining gargoyles in the church were dispatched. With the flying potion I was able to catch up with the two that were flying away with the sack and fireballed them. The sack, which was destroyed, carried gargoyle eggs. That was where we left it. As Dell might note the eggs could have been worth some major GPs.

Yeah, we stopped right after the big fight was over, so no looting has taken place yet.

As Dell might note the eggs could have been worth some major GPs. Yeah, I bet the Silent One would be thrilled to have some baby gargoyles. But they could have been going to get more gargoyles - it's almost always better to leave no survivors.

Could the Silent One mend them? Maybe they had more eggs then they could carry, and left some behind. Also, we could probably Speak with Dead to the Gargoyles to find out what happened.

We could ask our Peloorites if they can speak to dusted gargoyles. I wouldn't expect it to workon them.
I have no idea if gargoyle dust is good for anything. It might be worth collecting. What is the material component for stoneskin?
We could also try and determine what direction the two gargoyles were fleeing towards.

We could also try and determine what direction the two gargoyles were fleeing towards. Focus, Confused One, focus... we're busy right now. We have to hurry up and take care of this Nerulite issue, so we can get back to Keoland in time to interfere with San's agenda. SAN! Remember you hate San! He took your stuff! He hired people to kill you!

Oh right! San that book thief! Stole my preciouses books he did. Nasty Illionist. Can't do real magic. Who's responsible for us being in these mountains instead of going after those evil slavers and San? Curse him.

One potential quibble. The strength spells were cast too early. Obviously, Winthrop wants to cast them before the melee fighters run into melee range, but it sucks when the guys who are magically strong can't hurt our enemies.
Should we do anything differently in the future? Probably not, just something to think about.

In general, giving the strength to the melee specialists (Al and Frank) is always the best option. I can think of a few exceptions, but generally that's the case. And since it lasts so long, it's better to get it cast early in the day. If we wait for actual combat to start casting it, then that's 2 rounds that Winthrop has to stay near the front lines. That's 2 rounds that Winthrop can't fireball, or magic missile, or charm, or whatever. Those spells can have a lot more impact on the way the battle goes than a bonus to hit or damage can.
I was thinking that maybe the Strength should go to Raven and Al - because Frank isn't a member of the Company, right?
