The Company survived Raven's continuing quest to find the right deity worthy of his attentions. He passed on Pellor; scroffed at Hextor; and toyed with Tritherion. I should have known when he wouldn't engage the Wight in the Temple of Nerull that he was already going down the path to the dark side. He probably did so knowing that it would attack me since I had to try and destroy it for the good of the party. The touch of a wight is so very cold.
It was only a short while later that he fully embraced the dark and fully accepted Nerull as his lord and master. He could have easily killed most of the party or even coerced them into becoming followers of the dark god. Fortunatley Raven's uncertainty in his explorations of the various relgions caused him the slowly embrace the true precepts of his new god long enough for Garvin to see him for what he had become and nailed him upside the head. True to form once Raven was removed from the temple he slowly reverted to his noc-committed self. Just like him did after visiting the god of vengence.
So all is well. We have survived though I am much weaker from being touched by the Wight. We have cleared out this temple of Nerull and will now notify the Temple of Pellor so that it can be destroyed. Hopefully we can get some further financial gain from them for the valuable evil artifacts that they will surely like to destroy. We shall have to see if that is possible.

It's not the financial gain we need - it's the GOOD PUBLICITY.
If we get that, then people will come to us, looking for our help. People know that Pelor is good, so they'll naturally think that we're good as well. Maybe we can say that we turned away from our old slaver ways because of the light of Pelor, or something.
Or, they might be able to restore your soul - or at least the portion that the wight took away. If only we had a spellbook with a wish-type spell in it that we could try to use to restore your lost experience...

For good publicity we would need a Bard. That would not be cheap. A paladin of Cavalier might be cheaper.
Or we could go someplace where our reputation hasn't preceded us.
A wish...that is a thought. Hmm...
