Can a wizard learn a spell from a nonwizard?

Can a wizard learn a spell from a nonwizard spellcaster, if the spell is available to both classes?

For example, if a ranger knows the spell Longstrider, can a wizard learn it from him? Or if a cleric has Gentle Repose prepared?

A wizard can only learn/copy new spells from a spellbook, scroll or other wizardly source. Researching a new (existing) spell is also possible with time/money.
