Quick summary from last week:
With Eustace and Aelar under the weather, we decided to teleport back to the Lantern. We did some Locate Object spells and ascertained the location of the Dawn Blade (in the tomb of the knight) and the existence of a teleport circle (somewhere below us). A large creature was coming towards us when we decided to make our hasty retreat. No one got sight of it.
After resting over night, we headed back in. We talked to the knight and got the Dawn Blade with a promise we would clear out the Monastery. We checked out the bell tower - some sort of movable magic item that is used in war to aid your forces. We fought the skeletons in the sand again. Then we ran into a banshee and a prismatic wall. Much time and spells were used to get by the wall. The banshee was eventually driven away but not before she wailed multiple times - doing considerable damage. We defeated some clay golems (need to check if there are gem stones in their heads) guarding a bridge. On the other side of the bridge we discovered the first vessel of a dead god - a large amphora containing the heart of the goddess of weeping beauty. We left it there while we explored further. We chose not to investigate a tree growing underground. Then we skipped an encounter with a vampire (or 8). Exploring further found us in some well maintained tunnels being attacked by noble looking ghouls (or ghasts). We broke in the middle of the fight.
