Well, we've finally got the money/magic split thing decided, and I'm happy we have a method that everyone likes. Now, I only have two questions.
First, will the magic items that are currently "unassigned" be included in the magic item drafting that we do at the end of this adventure, or will they just be given away? I mean, we already promised the Nerul-symbol shield to Frank, but what about the other items? I think we can just hand them out to whoever wants them, without too much debate. Or we can give them all to Winthrop and let him decide what to do with them.
Second, what do we do next? After our vacation plans, that is. I say we either go after the lost dwarven colony, clean up the Dreadwood, or find Dread the pirate.
The dwarven colony should have powerful magical items - weapons and armor, mostly. But the risk is high - after all, they did go missing, so there's probably something that made them go missing - something bad. Also, dwarves are bound to have their homes and valuables well trapped with pits and sliding blocks and falling rocks.
The Dreadwood is bound to be the safest bet. I mean, come on, gnolls and mercenaries? We could wax them like a candle. Plus, they have a clearly marked, easy to find base, so there's no tedious hunting involved.
Dred would be difficult to find, but very rewarding. What's more, we know what good items they have, because they took them from us.
And yes, there are plenty of other options, but I think these are the top three right now. I think that the Dreadwood-San-Slaver connection would be our best bet right now. That should get us in good position to buy a new ship or reclaim the Sea Ghost. Then we can go after Dredd.
