We memorized and healed up to leave the cursed bottle universe. A little more looting was done and we found some books and magic items before leaving to the Elemental Plane of Earth. In the EPoE we encountered some Xorn, who we placated with some metal to eat. Mamnoon then plane shifted us all out onto the Prime Material Plane.
The Underdesert is where we emerged, and there's not much here. We killed some sandmen, who were hostile and only a little communicative. We crossed a step pyramid, but decided not to mess with it.
We crossed a pillar with a foreboding stairwell leading under it, which we decided to enter. Some traps and such were overcome. Friedrich saw a shining thing in a pool and dove in to get it. He narrowly escaped a ridiculously overpowered monster because Trommer hauled him up on a rope.
Friedrich then bravely went down a hole filled with potentially deadly gas. Fortunately, it wasn't deadly, it just polymorphed his lower body into a lobster tail. Colby and Trommer followed him down once the gas was taken care of, but that set off a trap which caused water to pour into the room at the bottom of the hole. We tried to quickly loot the area before the water filled in, and ended up loosing a styx devil. It was ridiculously nasty, but low on HP so a few axe hits and magic missile volleys killed it. Further exploration showed an illusion concealing further stairs down.

So we can either explore more downstairs or we can just take the loot we've already got and head back up. Either way, Colby will cast Dispel Magic on Friedrich to undo the polymorph. I vote for calling it a day and trying to get back to the surface.
