Blah blah blah.

Metal wand sticking out of wall shocks Paavo
Burnt book on the floor isn't too burnt.

More elementals, fire.
More elementals, air.

Alquel the Dey of Jeru. "If the DM isn't a total idiot this will be a TPK."
Flamestrikes, lightning bolts, magic missiles. Wall of fire, flame strike, more elementals.
The day is won! No, the Dey is defeated. Huzzah.
Meet the Rainbird.
Meet Acornelius.
Meet Ibrahim the Djinn.
Exposition: The Dey of Jeru keeps the volcano from erupting, but every so often he gets free when he manages to trick noble champions of good on a holy quest for a deity of neutrality, specifically tempting a pious man, fooling a wise man, tricking a clever man, etc.
The Rainbird weeps for fallen Danakes restoring him to life.
"Who is that guy and why is he wearing all my stuff?"
The Rainbird weeps for lost Bensarion, elf-friend; for Sir Derwood and his poor dog Blinkie; and lastly for the silver elves of Lothenar and the fall of their great forest kingdom.
Returning the castle above, the Storm Queen Cloudia listens to her wise counsellors (the Rainbird, Ibrahim, Huitapex and Acornelius) and honors the party as heroes.
Wand is identified as metal & mineral detection - turns out there is no command word other than whatever mineral/metal one is attempting to detect.
Party is given Stormcaller, a large warhorn that will summon the aid of the Storm Queen and offered transport to the Mortal Realm, or elsewhere in the Summerlands before they overstay their welcome.
