Reunited! I don't really know what there is to discuss, since we're just going to slaughter the drow high priest and keep following our glowing pine cone.

She survived one of Raven's arrows of cleric slaying in Little Boy Mountain. I have several more arrows of hurting people I plan to hit her with.

Pfiffwin can cover everyone in an illusion of dark elves. Otto already looks like something from the Abyss and she can't see much behind him from this distance. Maybe it will give the priestess a moment of pause that we can use to advance into the room.

Isn't Pfiffwin near the back? We'd be better off attempting the prisoner's gambit. Also, she's a high ranking Drow. She might know that Lolthson was slain months ago and recognize his armor.

Heh, who do you think we're fooling here? We're an army of 25 humans, demihumans, magical beings and lizardfolk, following a floating, glowing silver pine cone through the heart of the Demonweb Pits. She's not going to be asking for our hall pass.
Our fighters (Basil, Kazan, Rensslaer, Otto, Grizela, etc.) charge and she will either be dead first round or next round during our specialized attacks.
Magic-users will focus area of effect damage on whatever ungodly horde of spiders or insects is unleashed on us.
Clerics on standby to slow poison, remove paralysis, etc.

How about the giant statue of Lolth between us and her? Want to bet it comes to life?

Let's not get too carried away by hubris and think that our massive super-party of 25 can destroy any foe with ease, but, seriously, there are 25 of us and we are basically indestructible. Particularly in a large room, where we can most fully make use of our numbers.

What is the plan if this battle goes long and the pine cone leaves the room? Who are we going to send after the pine cone? Should we send a couple of mages, a couple of fighters and a cleric to follow it? Or do we send the non-combatants - Solaria, Hisspeck? Or just one person who can take care of himself?

Bedad can fly 30x faster than the pine cone. As long as it's less than 300 feet away he can fly back at every intersection, report where it's going, and fly back after it's only moved 20 feet. Additionally, he has a quiver of arrows he can drop at intersections. Does the air ball only allow him to fly, not also use his invisibility power?

The fire ball will allow him to use his invisibility power. The air ball also activates his etherealness.
A water ball would allow him to create food and water. An earth ball would allow him to growth/reduction.
Note that you are traveling very slowly (and hence quietly) when following the pine cone. It will take 30 minutes for the pine cone to travel 300 feet.

I was thinking the air ball would be useful against the mist demons. You put it on your head and don't have to breath the stinking cloud. Does Winthrop still have the ioun stone that allows him to breath? We should let a front line fighter borrow that.
Kazan or one of the other wizards could polymorph into a bird that could flies at 36". So no need to have Bedad flying currently.

Awesome way to wrap things up! In case James is checking the board - Dell cut off Lolth head with the vorpal sword.
I am already think of the paradoxes caused by sending the Great Druid back directly. The Wizards Three would never have gone to Martek's Tomb if the Great Druid and the rest of the Company of the Blue Sun returned from the Abyss within days of the leaving Torsh. Any chance we can apply some of the time juice to the mirrors to get back at the time we left the Tomb.

I randomly saw James a couple days ago and got to tell him that Dell killed Lolth with the vorpal sword. He seemed very amused.

Any chance Alfred cold get an xp total? At a first pass, it looks like each PC gets about 50,000 XP. That puts Alfred at close to 8th. Probably just over the 125000 XP needed.

That's why I was asking. Left the Land of Song a Veteran and (hopefully) will come back a Superhero(lame title I think ;D). Needless to say that was a great final session!! Thanks a lot and I hope to play this campaign some day after you get settled.
