Let's say we're two abreast in a corridor and come across a group of enemies. Can someone (Jesper? Kazan?) in the second rank with a spear set for charge to kill the guy charging the character directly in front of him in the front rank? Would it disrupt Kimball from firing to have someone stabbing over his back? Would it disrupt Zinc from casting or turning?

I think we have decided that the spears we have are not long enough to be set for charge from the second row. (Because we are also using them as a thrown weapon.) You can attack with them from the second row at -2, but that is more you reaching out and poking with them, not resting their butt against the ground. I think you could do this with a longer weapon, like a pike, which would protrude past the front rank (being a more than 8' long weapon). I should probably do that to maximize attacks on you all.
To your second question, I think Kimball can fire and Zinc can cast or turn. We've incorporated the penalty for poking around the first rank in the -2 to hit. So, Jesper and Kazan could stand behind Kimball and Zinc, and everyone could fire, cast, and poke at -2 at the targets in front of Kimball and Zinc.
