It was mentioned that a 0-level magic-user might have cantrips? Actually the Unearthed Arcana already has rules for cantrips for apprentice magic-users: 1 cantrip for -2000 xp to -1001 xp, 2 cantrips for -1000 xp to -501 xp and 3 cantrips for -500 xp to -1 xp. I assume we will use these rules if anyone ever switches classes to magic-user. Unearthed Arcana also says that you can do two cantrips in the space of one round. Is that correct? Along those lines, how is Invisibility affected by cantrips? We currently rule that Invisibility is disrupted by any full action - attacking, casting a spell, opening a door, etc. Does this mean that an invisible magic-user could use a single cantrip and remain invisible?

Rock on Kazan! Can you give me the page cite for UA?
W/r/t Invisibility. I think it would be dispelled. My belief is that invisibility is dispelled by the activation of any magic item. I would lump the cantrip in under that amount of magic, less than a spell.

I was hoping that since these are "small magics" they don't fall under the same rule as spells and magic item activation. Also think how much fun it would be to make your friends Belch for no apparent reason.
