The treasure from the ogre magi and the giants is as follows:
40 Sapphires (500 GP each) 9 Gold and Ivory Armbands with a Rampant Bear Emblem (2000 GP each) Opal and silver necklace (worn as a bracelet on one of the giants) (3000 GP)
Cedrus has 3 3rd level spells and 1 4th level spell. Two scrolls of raise dead (X2). Oaklock has almost all of his spells (only cast 2 1st level spells)
Naboth, Pfiffwin, and Gitmo remain dead.

A few questions: How long ago did we use the Ring of Sustenance? Almost 24 hours? Why are we not raising Pfiffwin? I know he's not especially helpful, but if he has 8 hours (or 16 depending on what happens) to rest and level up, he'll be a bit less useless.
Also, I think the consensus among Raven, Dell and Winthrop is that Gitmo and Naboth will likely not be raised.

A few questions: How long ago did we use the Ring of Sustenance? Almost 24 hours? 104 turns ago or 17 and 1/3 hours. That was your decision. You can always raise him if you change your mind. Cedrus is sad.

It probably does not matter but I think the passage that was caved in where we were attacked is likely the passage where Dell used the Wall of Fire. Given that we just took right turns coming out of garbage room it would make sense that we would come back around to the other side of the crevasse.

I was just trying to remember why keeping Pfiff dead sounded like a good idea at the time. I think we should use a scroll on him and then a death's door.

I think we were trying not to set a precedence - only raising certain people. Also it seems like Naboth, Gitmo and Pfiffwin have just sinks for Cures. Keeping them up has just taken healing away from the people who can actually fight the giants. Even Pfiffwin with his spells has for the most part been redundant given the three 8+ level magic users. Any of his utility spells would be better cast by the other guys since the durations of his spells are less than half of theirs. Of course if you wanted to equip him with an offensive weapon (e.g. bone wand) then he could use that while Winthrop had his complement of magic missles, fireballs, lightning bolts, etc.

Don't forget that Dell has a wand or two and maybe a spare dagger.
The only way that we can ensure that they get up in levels is to have them up and about so that they can get experience and beef up. We will always have this problem when low level characters are brought into the group.

I agree but I don't think this module is very conducive to low level characters. The lowest hit dice creature we have fought was probably a snow leopard or an ogre. Gitmo, Naboth and Pfiffwin combined would have had trouble with any one of these. There haven't been any orcs or the like for them to go toe to toe with.

I think that if we have enough time for him to rest for 16 hours before the next major fight, it'll be worthwhile for him to be alive. He'll be 3/4 or 4/4. He'll probably have around 10 HP, as well as an extra 3-4 from his shadow armor. As far as I can recall, the only time he's been damaged is when he was clumped up with everyone else and was attacked within an area of effect. I think we've learned from that now, and will have 10 ft gaps between rows at all times in the future.
It's also beneficial to have someone around to drag bodies out of harms way while other people are busy fighting. He can clot the bleeding on those with negative hit points or feed an unconscious body a potion.

We can always cast Rope Trick and let them rest/hide in safety for the three hours of the spell. That would give Pfiffwin long enough to nap and get back spells. That is long enough for one our battles to take place and come back for them by the time the spell runs out.

I am fine with bringing Pfiffwin back. He will certainly be better equiped to help after the raising and a more willing member of the party.

He should probably get the upside-down shaking test too, just in case.

Just make sure you don't believe what you may or may not see.
