These have a distinctly Malazan Empire feel. Not that I have a problem with that, I am just not sure they reflect the characters we have chosen. Most of them are too militaristic for a bunch of priests. The first two aren't bad.
It might be too early to settle on a name. How long was it before the Company of the Blue Sun was adopted?

I like Cold Steel Mercenaries. Although it kind of reminds me of Cold Stone Creamery.
And Island Dogs Cadre made me laugh.
As did Diamond Dogs.

I like the word "Brethren" because is has a religious connotation reflecting the diversity. I was also interested in somehow including a reference that we are on islands. A sort of nautical feel. I was only trying trhow out some word combinations. The 'Diamond Dogs" was a David Bowie lyric. "Cold Steel" is an actual nick name of a US marines unit.

We settle on Blue Sun early on because I was watching Firefly at the time and took it from the nefarious coproration that was always in the background. I wasn't expecting a quick decision. I just wanted to put it out here for discussion.

Going off the adventure we're in:

I think that "Order of the " or "Company of the " would be good, since we're so lawful. Fort Guy's Guys is pretty excellent, though.

Order of the Island Dog Brethren!
I'm still leaning toward Fort Guy's Guys which is indeed pretty excellent... : )
