Since I am so far behind on the campaign journal of the now-ended campaign, I'm going to try an experiment here with the writing of the new campaign journal. I'm going to offer an XP bonus to those of you who write-up the story for a given week. Everyone who contributes text (not just comments) to the campaign journal will receive a 5% bonus for the previous week. The group will identify who did the heavy lifting on the writing of the campaign journal, and they'll receive a 10% bonus.
If you guys want to rotate the responsibility between you all or if someone has a real hankering to do it, that's fine by me. However it works out.
Right now, four weeks of campaign journal are to be written (the two from the Islands v1.0 and the two from the Islands v2.0). I'd use the text posted on the other parts of the BBS as a starting point, or if you are really adventurous, you could try to do this through James's Wiki. Take your best shot.

I think using the wiki is an good idea. We could all contribute there and then Dana could transfer the finished journal entry to here.
I think it would be nice to add some meta information to each journal entry, like who was actually in attendance, how many xp's did we get, character stat summaries.

I think there's a lot of room for more meta-commentary now that we've ended that campaign.

You get something like 5-10 xps based on the 100 xp we received. Where is the incentive in that. And the TPK week is worthless since no xps were awarded. What sort of suckers do you think we are. :)

I started laying out some pages on the wiki. Also I created a template for journal entries. Feel free to change things around. Anyone know how to delete or rename pages on the wiki? Should we start a new wiki?

I looked at the Wikipage:
Bulleting out the various plot hooks and referring to them as such in the Campaign Journal doesn't feel quite right to me.
The plot hooks themselves are written in 2nd person; "you this" and "you that," while the journal is 3rd person omniscient.
I don't want to step on anyone's toes by editing their contribution, but there are minor grammatical and factual errors...
For experience purposes/credit how should we delineate who has done what? I know Lee and Josh have put some text down. Should we all use different colors? Bold? Italics?
* I made changes in bold, also-
fixed the link on the main page for Island Campaign V2
split the list of things we did between Island Campaign V1, Week 1 and Island Campaign V1, week 2.
put a link to Week 2 at the bottom of Week 1.

I don't want to step on anyone's toes by editing their contribution, but there are minor grammatical and factual errors... Feel free to change any of my accounts, formatting or structure. Clearly everyone is going to remember things differently with more details about what their own character did. With these first couple of journal entries I think we need to experiment to find a style we all like. I don't think we need to worry too much about attributing specific text to individuals. First, the wiki will track changes so long as you are logged in. Second, I don't think anyone is going to take credit for other peoples work.

Any suggestions on how to incorporate Dana's comment at the beginning of week 1, version 1.0 about us not bothering to even introduce ourselves to one another?
I found that quite amusing and worthy of the Campaign Journal.

When you decide that the week's write up is done, please post it as part of the Campaign Journal here. Please identify the contributors and who of the contributors should receive the 10% bonus. When that is done, I'll add in the extra XP.

I have finished Week 1 of Version 2. Anyone want to add anything before I post it?
I put in a little intro to describe our characters. Feel free to elaborate my descriptions of your characters. Any idea how we all met? How about at the wake for the first party?

It looks good. But I'm going to add a bit before you post- (for the xp mostly)
Want to modify "The Rumor" so that it's more campaign journal like. Also the encounter with the skeleton was... more in depth. Maybe a few other things.
*done!
Week 2, Version 1: 10% for Lee, 5% for David, 5% for me.
Week 1, Version 2: 10% for Josh, 5% for me - anyone else?

10% for Josh, 5% for me.

If I remember correctly I a draft of the the whole two weeks with placeholders for gaps. Then you split correctly into the two weeks. I know there were specific details of the fighting on the road that I could not recall. I can't say how much of what I wrote is still there to claim a percentage.
