Had a question about learning new weapon proficiencies. Non-weapon proficiencies can be learned just by spending the time and money to train in it. But weapon proficiencies are limited by class and level.
Would you consider allowing a character to "swap" weapon proficiencies? That is, they learn a new one, but have to drop an old one to do so? For instance, say Al wanted to gain proficiency in mace. Could he learn that and "forget" his dagger proficiency?
I just ask because if we find a powerful magical weapon of some kind, it would be nice if Raven or Al could learn to use it, dropping one of their unused skills like dagger or scimitar. Dell has stopped carrying darts, so it would be nice for him to be able to swap a slot - say if we found a magic shortsword or something.

I think it makes sense and would make the game more interesting. It would allow us to have more wacky types of weapons, which is fun. It also doesn't seem overpowering, since Raven gained an extra weapon proficiency that he hasn't trained for. It's basically irrelevant for Al and Otto, since another weapon we find will have to be very, very good for them to not use their specialized weapon.

I don't have any particular issue with it. I think that this would have to apply only to proficiencies, not to specialization though.
