Heck I'd almost do it for rates that Pavel whould charge. I can pull off Pavel's trick now. I could enter looking like Dred and leave looking like guy. No would suspect anything...wait a minute that doesn't sound exactly lik a good thing to do...

Before doing so I surprised everyone by polymorphing into a Sharke person. Did you learn this from the book of Necton or did you finally identify what the gold ring did? Also did you share with everyone what Foebreaker can do? Eight days of identify must mean it is pretty forminable.

Foebreaker does basically everything. It's a +3 sword. It doesn't require any proficiency to use. It can do double damage against evil creatures once per day. It can do dimension door once per day. The abilities sheet is a whole page.

And even though it's designed especially for magic users (apparently) it is of Good alignment - which means that it's one magic item that Dell has no intention of stealing.

The Ring hasn't been identified yet. Cedrus also picked up a Ring that he isn't willing to give up. He says he already knows what is does.

All in good time. As the acting leader of the party I'm sure you will be able to deal with his new attitude.

The last thing we want to do is lose yet another cleric. He got sort of short shrifted on the last magic item distribution. So he might be due something nice this time. Of course now that he is an NPC his share of treasure is likely to suffer.
Did we retrieve Cash's magic items and treasure? Can you raise someone after they have been turned into an undead? How did the rest of Saltmarsh men take the news?

I had loaned Cedrus a wand of magic missiles. I have to learn how to recharge them. There wasn't a lot of treasure from this adventure and the main item was wizard specific. Cedrus (Scott) said that he wants to stay with the party.
We retrieved Cash's two-handed sword but had to ditch his armor. I don't think we can bring back the dead un-dead. We will have to pay his family for his death.

Oh, he's taken something nice, alright. Nice, yet cursed. That's okay, though. We all still think he's swell. Of course now that he is an NPC his share of treasure is likely to suffer. Dell treats all NPC's as equals, unlike certain former leaders. Plus, we rely on him for healing. Not to mention his condition will make him somewhat difficult to deal with. I suspect Cedrus will do just fine on treasure distributions. Did we retrieve Cash's magic items and treasure? Can you raise someone after they have been turned into an undead? How did the rest of Saltmarsh men take the news? Cash had a very forceful personality, but he preferred being feared over being loved. I don't think too many people will miss him.

There wasn't a lot of treasure from this adventure and the main item was wizard specific. I am not sure how you can call a +3 sword "wizard specific." Also considering there was all of the wizard specific items from the ship - two spell books and the book of Necton - I think we need to do something to make the fighters happy. Are there any potions leftover? There was also the water breathing dagger. If you want to start giving the books out as part of the division I am sure the fighters can find good uses for them.

I am not sure how you can call a +3 sword "wizard specific." The fact that the sword belonged to a wizard, can cast wizard spells, and is somehow able to be wielded by a wizard in the first place. It's entirely possible that the majority of the abilities will only function for a magic-user. Giving it to one of the fighters would be like giving a "Holy Avenger" to a non-paladin.

Still I cannot imagine Winthrop standing up there in the front with me hacking away with it. His THAC0 is still pretty bad even with the +3. And as I learned recently only +2 or better weapons are effective against elementals - it would be useful to have multiple people who can fight these sorts of creatures. If the extra abilities only work for a wizard then maybe the use of it is split depending on the situation. Of course in several levels I will start getting magic user spells so I maybe able to use it full time.

Still I cannot imagine Winthrop standing up there in the front with me hacking away with it. His THAC0 is still pretty bad even with the +3. Oh yeah... that's one of the abilities we neglected to mention. It ignores armor. If you use it to hit a guy in non-magical armor, he's treated as AC 10. If he tries to hit a guy in + 1 armor... it's treated as AC 9. So yeah, even with his 19 THAC0, he'll be able to get some hits in. If he tried to hit Dell... it's AC -4. So it doesn't solve EVERY problem... but you won't be fighting Dell, will you? And as I learned recently only +2 or better weapons are effective against elementals - it would be useful to have multiple people who can fight these sorts of creatures. We do. With this latest addition, we have four weapons of +2 or higher: Dell, Otto, and Cedrus already have +2 weapons. We have a slew of +1 weapons, and we haven't even bothered to identify Al's mace, it might be +2 as well. Do you realize that there was a time when the whole party only had six magical weapons - and Dell owned three of them? That's not really relevant, I just like to reminisce. Anyway, as the leader, I make the call. Fighters can use any weapon, but this is the only sword we've ever seen that a wizard can use. It was made for wizards, so it goes to the wizard.
