So Nate grabbed a book and a map from Tenma's "office" before the weasels showed up. Now that we are on the slow trip back to Blue he had time to recall that he was carrying them and shared them with the rest of the party. Is there anything interesting in them?

Also if time allows we can determine which items are magical and do some identifying.

So Nate grabbed a book and a map from Tenma's "office" before the weasels showed up. Now that we are on the slow trip back to Blue he had time to recall that he was carrying them and shared them with the rest of the party. Is there anything interesting in them? The book appears to be a ledger of the slavers' activities for the past six months. It is mostly full of crabbed handwriting showing tallies of slaves by race, gender, and whether they are amenable to physical labor. The handwriting clearly changes over about two months ago. You presume this is the arrival of Tenma. Several facts seem to spring from the page. One is that the slavers must be rich, as thousands of slaves have been sold in the past six months. The second is that the persons buying the slaves seem to have come from many different countries, mostly from lands lying to the east, across the Sea of Gearnat. Third, the slavers seem to have regularly shipped out large (40+) groups of strong, intractable, or "special" slaves, usually on a monthly basis to someone named Icar. The map, combined with the documents obtained from Piotr, seems to indicate that there is a stronghold of some sort in the Drachengrab hills about 5 days inland from Highport. Associated with this stronghold are several names which you place because of context from the different documents: Icar, Esterath, and Markessa. The stronghold is likely the destination of the large groups of slaves and the destination of trains of slaves taken out of Highport by Esterath.

I assume that whe we get to Blue we will get the cart and horses and go back to Highport to follow the map into the mountians.

If we are going back through Highport on the way to the slavelords' stronghold we should try to take out Tenma once and for all. Assuming he hangs around to run the place. Maybe Dell feels like paying back Tenma in kind for what Ezra did to him. Sneak around invisible and backstab him. Of course now that we know exactly how many h.p.s he has he doesn't seem like all that much of a threat.
Do we want to wait for the ship to take the freed slaves to Gradsul and return? If we free slaves at the stronghold we will need some way to transport them to freedom. Also I think we will want Lord Morgan's men as well as Diego to join us since clearly the backup is useful for dealing with the shear number of orcs and what not.

Also if time allows we can determine which items are magical and do some identifying. The following is the list of treasure from the last two weeks: 548 Pomarj GP 1 Quartz (10 GP) 1 Ruby (500 GP) 1 Star Sapphire (1000 GP) Iron Band (Magical, currently worn by Winthrop) 8 Foreign GP 7 Foreign SP Battered, plain ring (Magical, taken from Piotr) Dagger (Magical, taken from an ogre) Bracers (Magical, taken from Piotr, currently worn by Winthrop) Worn, smooth stone (Magical, taken from Piotr's guard) Brooch with pearl setting (Magical, taken from bugman) 6 Silver Holy Symbols to Gruumsh 6 Sapphires (500 GP each, found by Jerry) Potion (Magical, held by Winthrop, taken from Ezra) Ivory and Onyx ring (Magical, taken from Ezra) The other found items (chainmail, battle axe, daggers, swords) are not magical.

For that matter, all of Lord Morgan's men have gained 3rd level, including Cash and Jerry. Cedrus has gained 4th (or will gain 4th after he trains for 3rd). There was about 5300 XP gained in the last two adventures.

Even if the defenses are relatively constant, our NPCs jumped up 2 levels, which makes them a lot tougher. Cedrus went from 4 spells to 9 spells, which put his healing minimum/maximum from 8-32 hit points per day to 36-72 hp per day. That's awesome.
