So the question of the day is do we chase after Tenma? I can swap out a spell and study Fly that can get up across the cesspool or retrieve the rope bridge. Dell could do the same to get the Mend spell to repair the bridge. That would give Tenma at most a head start of an hour. That leaves the question of the prisoners of course.

I have not made my final decision as to what we will be doing next, though I do welcome your input.
But I do want to remind you - Tenma is not our primary goal. Our primary goal is rescuing Melba before she's toast. My first impulse is to collect what salvage we can here, march this bunch off to jail for interrogation, and then come back and take out the next slaver encampment.

Oh, Melba! I completely forgot about her. I was too focused on the fact that Tenma would lead us to San. Curse him! We could do the clean up work and let you fly after Tenma while invisible to see where he goes. you might even get to stab him in the back.

If we were going to send someone after Tenma - which we aren't - it would be Otto, for reasons which are too obvious for me to bother explaining.

Raven volunteers to fly. He'd love to hover 15 feet over Tenma's head and kill him with arrows.

I got the impression that whatever was in the pool was getting ready to attack us. Also, it seems likely the way he's leaving is probably the place that smelled funny on the surface near the tower, so we can just run around and have Otto pick up his trail.

I'm sure the creature in the cesspool is only a minor inconvenience. I fwe can capture Tenma and charm him just think of all the great information we could get out of him.

Okay, now I have decided. Our course of action will be this -
Finish exploring the tower. When we've cleared this place, we imprison the slavers (I assume they have a slave pen or dungeon somewhere within) and then we either have Otto track Tenma to see where he's gone, or get one of the slavers to tell us where the captives were taken.
What happens next depends on timing. If we can get the prisoners we've taken to a jail quickly, then we'll do that. Otherwise, we'll leave them locked in the tower and go after Tenma.

Excellent! I'm sure your slaver buddy would be happy to provide all the details he can. He may know something about the toast lady as well. He could be our tour guide around the place.
