They'll go faster if we whip them, right?

I doubt the hobgoblins are going to come after us. They should be thrilled to have control of the stockade. They'll probably send scouts out towards us; we should just make sure those scouts don't make it home alive.
How long would it take Winthrop to fly to Trevor? Is that a possibility?
I don't have a copy of Unearthed Arcana, so I have no idea what the Messenger spell is like, but is that a possibility? Could I send a messenger to Trevor?

For the wizard spell, Flight speed is the same 12" per round as the normal move. It's just that you get to do it in the air instead of on the ground. And it doesn't last all day.
The Messenger spell allows you to essentially use any small animal as a carrier pigeon to take a note to someone. Unfortunately, the spell only works for an hour per level. So you'd have to find an animal that can move roughly 15 times faster than we do to have it get there before the spell expired. I don't know of any such animal, and if there is one, we're not likely to be able to catch it.
Besides, even if we got a message to Trevor right now, things would be resolved one way or another before he could get to us.

Maybe the best thing would be for Pavel to trail behind us a few hours, disguised as a hobgoblin (and invisible!) to see if anyone's catching up. He could tell them that he came from that direction and didn't see anyone, or that there's a ferocious army coming that way, or whatever would be best, depending on what the conversation he overhears suggests.

Since I'll be out of town on Sunday, I'll put in my requests for activity during our vacation. Raven's looking to train to become proficient in halberd (which is mine! mine! mine!). I'll also swap my sword to Otto in exchange for some other magic item, and I'll swap my shield with one of the clerics for something of theirs.

I have your shield, Raven. You can have it back when you're up and about. I just need to get my armor repaired and I'll be back at AC2. Magic armour in the future would be nice, but since I'm not really a front line fighter, I don't mind the weaker AC.

If I am reminded I can cast a few mend spells to repair peoples armor.

Magic armour in the future would be nice, but since I'm not really a front line fighter, I don't mind the weaker AC. I don't need it anymore, as I'm giving away my longsword. If my only two weapons are a halberd and a bow, someone else can put the shield to better use.

As the leader, I am familiar with the desires and capabilities of everyone in the group, and when I distribute the magical items I will keep all this in mind.
And Winthrop? No mend spells, we'll need all the Mounts we can get.

No mend spells, we'll need all the Mounts we can get. Well, since Raven is the leader in all things combat related, I have the best understanding of peoples needs when it comes to weapons and armor.

As the real CEO I allow you to maintain whatever delusions you like.

And as long as you continue to do as I say, you will remain the CEO. But if I feel that your "leadership" is becoming detrimental to our continued success and survival, I'll replace you without hesitation. Raven would make a fine CEO.

Maybe San got to him and used his Illusionist powers to make Dell think he was the leader?
