We should try eating various things to figure out what our cherry-flavored potion does. I bet dragon meat tastes like cherries.

Looks like Paavo hits 5, Dan hits 2, Ingrid hits 3/3. Dan should be XP capped at 2999, right?

So, what's the plan? Let's posit that the guys coming from the main temple are unconnected with the guy beating the drum. They visibly didn't seem to react to what seems like a distress call, so I think that's a fair assumption.
I'd recommend we either use the opportunity to attack the main temple now that a bunch of guys have just left or that we try to quickly leave our current location so we don't get attacked by wasps responding to the drum beat.

With that large group gone I think heading for the temple is a good idea. I would guess they are going to the amphitheater for some event. Given the size of the city it is at least a 30 minute walk from the temple to the amphitheater. Hopefully they will be gone for a couple of hours at the very least.
Can we get the map of the city posted to the board?

We'll assume you surveilled the city from on high long enough to have this map:

Thanks.
A rough count give 80 squares = 4000 ft between the amphitheater in the bottom left to the temple at the end of the colonnade. Assuming they travel at the max rate of a bugbear (9") it would take almost 45 minutes to return. Of course we are only moving at a 6".

Objects of interest: Vault of Elders, containing the Knowledge of the Elders. Anecdotal accounts: The story of Alexander, the Great King, who rode upon the wind over the Mountains of Darkness and there discovered the King of Demons who welcomed him to Ulshamaran and gave unto him the Waters of Life and a fabulous pearl of wisdom, which guided him for the rest of his days. There he built a great golden temple to house the Wellspring of Life Eternal. Given the descriptions we got from Benesarion, were we able to see anything that might be the Vault of the Elders or the Citadel of Life while we made this map? BTW, anyone read my post on Unseen Servant in House Rules? Maybe we should move that forum to its own section or link to it from each of the Campaigns. I am not sure what is possible on this board.

Friedrich is convinced he saw the glint of gold from a building at the far end of the pillars. (bottom right of map)
